Amidst the romantic backdrop of Valentine’s Day, Hon. Olufunke Comforter, representing Ibadan North Constituency 1 and Chair of the House Committee on Women Affairs, celebrated her birthday with constituents, marking the occasion with a pledge fulfilled: the foundation laying of a security post in Ajaagba community, Bodija, as promised during her election campaign.
Hon. Comforter’s birthday celebration, held at her constituency office in Yemetu, Ibadan, drew a crowd of well-wishers, including Oyo State House of Assembly members from various zones, PDP faithfuls, councilors, and party executives. Expressing gratitude for the support, she underscored the importance of community unity and vowed to continue championing their causes.
Adding substance to the festivities, Hon. Comforter distributed solar street lights across wards 1 to 6, emphasizing their role in enhancing security by illuminating the streets and deterring criminal activity.
Earlier in the day, before the evening’s festivities, Hon. Comforter fulfilled a campaign promise by laying the foundation stone for a security post in Ajaagba community, Bodija.
The action was met with jubilation from residents, with Elder A. O. Oyeniyi expressing profound joy and describing Hon. Comforter as a promise keeper and a politician of action. He prayed to God to continue to guide her aright.
In her remarks, Hon. Comforter appreciated everyone’s presence and thanked them for their show of love. She promised not to take it for granted and reiterated her commitment to quality representation, pledging to continue bringing dividends of democracy to the people of her constituency.

Comforter’s commitment to community development.
