Serious crisis has erupted in the camp of the Oyo State All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli , as his supporters reportedly engaged in a serious fight and exchanged blows over the sharing of political appointments if he wins in 2027.
The ugly incident, which occurred during a meeting of the candidate’s supporters in Ibadan, has exposed the deep greed and desperation within the Alli camp, barely months to the election.

Sources at the meeting revealed that trouble started when some supporters accused others of secretly sharing Commissioners, Special Advisers, Board Chairmen, and other juicy appointments among themselves, without carrying others along.
“They have already shared Commissioners and other appointments. They said they will carry us along, but we have seen the list. They have shared everything among their cronies,” Mr Shola Mathew an angry supporter was quoted as saying.
The argument, which started as a heated exchange of words, quickly degenerated into a free-for-all fight, with supporters exchanging blows, tearing clothes, and destroying chairs in the meeting venue.
Eyewitnesses said it took the intervention of some party elders and security men to restore order and prevent the situation from escalating into a bloodbath.

Political observers say the incident is a clear indication that the Alli camp is more interested in sharing power and looting the state than in serving the people of Oyo State.
“Before election, they are already fighting over appointments. Before they win, they have already shared Commissioners. This is a shame. It shows they have nothing to offer Oyo State except greed,” Chief Idris Azeez a party chieftain said.
The development comes at a time when the Oyo APC is already battling mass resignations, internal crisis, and the alleged rejection of the Alli/ Adesoji Adedeji ticket by key leaders of the party including Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin , Senator Buhari AbdulFatai Ph.D , Chief Adelabu Adebayo Adekola , Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, and Barrister Akeem Agbaje .
As at the time of filing this report, Senator Sharafadeen Alli and his campaign team had not issued any official statement on the embarrassing fight among his supporters over appointments.
