The Chief Judge of Ondo is preparing to administer the oath of office to Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who will assume the role of governor following the demise of Rotimi Akeredolu.
Aiyedatiwa, formerly the deputy governor, will travel to Akure for the swearing-in, tentatively scheduled for 4pm, pending any last-minute changes.
The ceremony will be overseen by Justice Olusegun Odusola. Akeredolu passed away at the age of 67 in Germany after a battle with prostate cancer, as confirmed by the Ondo State Government.
