Youths in Ward 10, Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Friday, October 9, 2026, held a strategic meeting aimed at strengthening unity, fostering cooperation and mobilising grassroots support ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The meeting was attended by the Youth Coordinator for the Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaigns in Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Tobiloba Agbolagade Agbolly, who charged the youths to remain united, work harmoniously and demonstrate a common commitment towards achieving the campaign’s objectives.

Addressing participants, Hon. Agbolly emphasised the importance of collective action, noting that unity and effective collaboration among young people would be critical to delivering the expected results. He encouraged the youths to put aside differences, embrace teamwork and remain actively involved in the political process.

He further assured the gathering that the current political season presents an opportunity for youths to benefit more substantially from their commitment and contributions, expressing optimism that their efforts would be recognised and rewarded.

Also in attendance was the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Works, who also doubles as the Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaign Committee Secretary in Egbeda local government; Hon. Idris Abayomi, whose presence underscored the importance of engaging young people and strengthening political participation at the grassroots level.

Egbeda Local Government Youth Leader, Comr. Aderemi Oderinlo, was also present at the meeting, alongside other youth stakeholders who participated in discussions centred on unity, mobilisation and collective responsibility.

 

The meeting forms part of ongoing grassroots engagement efforts to bring young people together, strengthen coordination across wards and encourage active participation in the campaign process.
