The grassroots machinery of the BSA Neighbor to Neighbor Campaign Initiative continued its march across Oyo State on Saturday, October 3, 2026, as the initiative took its message directly to the people of Egbeda Ward 6, in a vibrant and determined street-to-street engagement designed to bring the campaign closer to residents at the very heart of their communities.

The outreach, which saw campaign members move through the streets and neighbourhoods of Egbeda Ward 6, was led by the energetic and indefatigable Farmer Hon. Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson, Director and State Coordinator of the BSA Neighbor to Neighbor Campaign Initiative.

With her characteristic passion for grassroots mobilisation, Farmer Hon. Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson once again demonstrated that the initiative is not designed to remain within the confines of offices, meeting halls or political gatherings. Rather, it is determined to take its message to the people, street by street, house by house, neighbour by neighbour and community by community.

The Egbeda Ward 6 engagement formed part of the initiative’s expanding grassroots campaign across Oyo State, with the team meeting residents directly, interacting with members of the community, listening to their concerns and perspectives, and communicating the message and vision of Senator Sharafadeen Alli for Oyo State.

From the streets of Egbeda Ward 6, the message was clear: grassroots engagement remains at the centre of the BSA Neighbor to Neighbor Campaign Initiative.

Instead of waiting for residents to attend a conventional political gathering, the campaign team went directly to them.

The approach reflects the philosophy behind the initiative that meaningful political engagement must involve direct contact with the people and that the voices of ordinary residents must be heard, respected and incorporated into the broader political conversation.

As the team moved through the community, residents had the opportunity to interact with the campaign leadership and members, ask questions, express their views and hear first-hand the message being championed by the initiative.

At the forefront of this relentless mobilisation was Farmer Hon. Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson, whose energy, commitment and determination continue to give the campaign a distinctive grassroots character.
Her presence throughout the outreach underscored the seriousness with which the initiative is approaching its mission of penetrating the nooks and crannies of Oyo State.

For the campaign leadership, grassroots politics is not simply about appearing before the people during major events. It is about physically going into communities, walking the streets, meeting residents in their everyday environments and creating opportunities for genuine interaction.

The Egbeda Ward 6 outreach further highlighted the growing visibility of the BSA Neighbor to Neighbor Campaign Initiative under the leadership of Farmer Hon. Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson.
Her energy has become a defining feature of the campaign’s activities as she continues to drive the initiative beyond conventional political boundaries and into communities across Oyo State.
With a clear determination to ensure that no community is left untouched, she has continued to champion a model of engagement that seeks to take the campaign to the doorsteps of the people.
The objective is ambitious: to ensure that the message travels through the streets and reaches the grassroots in every direction across Oyo State.
From densely populated neighbourhoods to local communities, the campaign’s emphasis remains on direct engagement and personal connection.

The initiative’s name, Neighbor to Neighbor, was once again brought to life in Egbeda Ward 6, as campaign members interacted with residents in a manner that placed human connection at the centre of the exercise.
A significant moment during the outreach came when the campaign team visited the residence of the late Alhaji Asunmo to pay their respects and honour his memory.
The late Alhaji Asunmo was remembered as a great APC leader in Adogba, Egbeda Local Government Area, whose contribution and presence within the political and grassroots community remain worthy of recognition.
The visit provided an opportunity for the campaign team to acknowledge the legacy of a man remembered for his role in the political development of his community and to demonstrate that grassroots mobilisation also involves remembering and honouring those who have contributed to the political journey of the people.
The Egbeda Ward 6 engagement also attracted important stakeholders and political figures from the ward and surrounding community.
Among those who participated were Hon. Dabas, Hon. Murewa, Hon. Yinka Adeyemi, Hon. Jide Falade, Bariyu Busari, Woman Leader, Ward 6, and Hon. Ope Datum.
Their participation further strengthened the significance of the grassroots engagement and reflected the importance of stakeholder involvement in building a campaign capable of reaching residents at the community level.
The presence of these stakeholders added depth to the interaction, as the campaign provided another platform for grassroots political actors and residents to connect and engage around the message and vision being propagated by the initiative.
What distinguished the Egbeda Ward 6 engagement was its deliberate departure from the conventional format of a formal political gathering.
There were no barriers between the campaign and the people.
The team took the campaign into the streets.
The streets became the meeting point. The neighbourhoods became the gathering places. Residents became participants. And the message travelled organically from one person to another.

That approach captures the essence of the BSA Neighbor to Neighbor Campaign Initiative, a grassroots movement determined to make direct contact with the people and carry its message into communities across Oyo State.
For Farmer Hon. Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson, the mission appears to be bigger than a single ward or a single engagement.
It is a sustained grassroots drive aimed at ensuring that the campaign reaches the nooks and crannies of Oyo State, bringing its message to communities that may not always be reached through traditional political mobilisation.
Her relentless movement and enthusiasm have continued to give the initiative momentum, with each community engagement adding another layer to the growing grassroots network.
The BSA Neighbor to Neighbor Campaign Initiative says it will continue taking its message across communities, maintaining its focus on direct interaction and grassroots engagement.
And with Farmer Hon. Omolara Kafilat Busari Svensson at the helm of the state coordination, the campaign is taking a clear message across Oyo State: the people must not be left behind.
From neighbour to neighbour, street to street, ward to ward and community to community, the initiative is determined to keep moving.
As the BSA Neighbor to Neighbor Campaign Initiative continues its journey across Oyo State, its promise remains straightforward and emphatic to take the message everywhere, to listen to the people, to engage communities directly and to ensure that the gospel of its political vision reaches the people where they live.
