Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has described the inauguration of Governor Seyi Makinde’s presidential campaign office in Abuja as the most substantive and discourse-driven campaign kick-off in Nigeria’s recent political history.

Reacting to Monday’s commissioning of the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Headquarters, which drew prominent political figures including NDC’s Peter Obi and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, Kamorudeen said the event signaled a shift from politics of rhetoric to politics of ideas.

“Abuja today wasn’t just about opening an office, the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign kick-off practically opens a national conversation on competence, accountability, and how best to get Nigeria working again for all,” the Lagelu chairman said.

He commended Governor Makinde’s “Reset Nigeria” agenda, pointing to the governor’s governance record in Oyo State as evidence of his readiness for national leadership, and urged Nigerians to rally behind the campaign.

“We’ve seen what competent leadership looks like in Oyo State of today,” Kamorudeen said. “Now it’s time to take that to the national stage.”
