Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) Chairmanship Candidate for Egbeda Local Government, who also serves as the Vice Chairman of Egbeda Local Government and Political Head/Administrator of Ajorosun LCDA, has extended warm felicitations to traditional worshippers, cultural custodians and all people of Oyo State as they celebrate Isese Day 2026.
In a goodwill message marking the celebration, Hon. Oladebo described Isese Day as a significant occasion for celebrating the rich cultural heritage, traditions, values and spiritual identity of the Yoruba people.


























He acknowledged the traditional worshippers, devotees, custodians of indigenous knowledge, cultural practitioners and other stakeholders who continue to preserve and promote Yoruba culture and traditions.
According to him, Isese goes beyond a celebration of tradition, noting that it provides an opportunity for the people to reconnect with their roots, appreciate their cultural identity and uphold the values passed down by their forebears.
Hon. Oladebo also extended his greetings and best wishes to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, describing the revered monarch as an important symbol of the enduring traditional institution and cultural heritage of the people.
He prayed for the Olubadan to enjoy a peaceful and prosperous reign, accompanied by sound health, wisdom and continued accomplishments in the service of Ibadanland.





The APM Chairmanship Candidate equally extended his greetings to His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, appreciating his administration’s commitment to the peaceful coexistence, unity and development of the people of the state.
He noted that Oyo State’s rich cultural diversity remains one of its greatest strengths, stressing the importance of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence among adherents of different faiths and traditions.
Hon. Oladebo urged traditional worshippers and cultural custodians to continue to preserve the values and cultural practices handed down by their ancestors while ensuring that such traditions contribute positively to peace, unity and community development.
“Isese Day is a celebration of our identity, heritage and roots. It reminds us of the importance of preserving our culture and ensuring that the rich traditions of our forebears are passed responsibly from one generation to another.
“I felicitate with all traditional worshippers, cultural custodians and people of Oyo State on this year’s Isese Day celebration.
I also extend my warm greetings and best wishes to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, and His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State.

Hon. Oladebo further called on the younger generation to take a keen interest in Yoruba history, culture and indigenous knowledge, stressing that a people who preserve their heritage are better positioned to protect their identity and build a stronger future.
He concluded by wishing all traditional worshippers, cultural stakeholders and the entire people of Oyo State a peaceful, meaningful and memorable Isese Day celebration.
