Former aspirant for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and the Aare of Akoboland, Hon. Mathew Alani Oyeniyi, has showered encomiums on the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, over the successful rescue of the teachers and pupils abducted in Ahoro Community, Oriire Local Government Area.
In a statement released on Saturday, Hon. Oyeniyi described the rescue as a remarkable victory for the people of Oyo State and a testament to Governor Makinde’s unwavering resolve to protect the lives and property of every resident, irrespective of their location.

























He stated that the governor’s calm disposition, strategic leadership, and unwavering commitment throughout the period of the unfortunate incident inspired confidence among residents that the victims would eventually regain their freedom.
According to the former federal lawmaker aspirant, the successful operation further reinforces Governor Makinde’s reputation as a leader who places premium value on human lives and has continued to strengthen Oyo State’s security architecture through sustained investments, improved collaboration with security agencies, intelligence gathering, and support for local security initiatives.
Hon. Oyeniyi noted that the rescue serves as another confirmation that the various security reforms introduced by the Makinde administration are producing tangible results, adding that Oyo State has continued to record significant improvements in the protection of lives and property under the governor’s leadership.
While expressing gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing the necessary support for security operations across the country, he also applauded the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Amotekun Corps, local vigilantes, and other security stakeholders whose professionalism, resilience, and coordinated efforts culminated in the safe rescue of the victims.





He further congratulated the rescued teachers, pupils, their families, and the entire people of Oriire Local Government on the successful outcome of the operation, praying that God would grant the victims speedy emotional and psychological recovery after their traumatic experience.
Hon. Oyeniyi also urged residents of Oyo State to remain law-abiding and continue supporting the government by volunteering useful information to security agencies, stressing that security is a collective responsibility.
He expressed optimism that Governor Makinde would continue to consolidate on his achievements in the security sector, ensuring that Oyo State remains one of the safest and most peaceful states in Nigeria.
