Former House of Representatives aspirant for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency and cybersecurity expert, Hon. Tosin Alabi, has applauded the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, over the successful rescue of the teachers, pupils and other victims abducted in Ahoro Community, Oriire Local Government Area.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Tosin Alabi described the safe return of the victims as a moment of immense joy and thanksgiving for the entire state, saying Governor Makinde’s commitment throughout the period of the victims’ captivity demonstrated the qualities of a compassionate, people-oriented and responsive leader.

He stated that the successful rescue once again confirms why many residents of Oyo State proudly regard Governor Makinde as a true populist governor whose administration consistently places the welfare, security and wellbeing of the people above every other consideration.
According to Alabi, while many leaders would have moved on after condemning the unfortunate incident, Governor Makinde remained resolute, working quietly with security agencies and other critical stakeholders until the victims regained their freedom.
“The successful rescue of these innocent pupils and their teachers is not just another security achievement; it is a reflection of purposeful leadership.
Governor Seyi Makinde has once again shown that the lives of ordinary citizens matter to him.

The cybersecurity expert further noted that the governor’s sustained investment in strengthening the state’s security architecture, intelligence gathering and collaboration with conventional security agencies and local security outfits continues to yield positive results across Oyo State.
Alabi also commended the professionalism and dedication of the security personnel, local vigilantes, community leaders and everyone who contributed to the successful operation, stressing that their collective efforts deserve the appreciation of all well-meaning Nigerians.
He urged residents of Oyo State to continue supporting the government’s security initiatives by remaining vigilant and providing useful information that would help security agencies prevent criminal activities.
While congratulating the rescued teachers, pupils and their families, Alabi prayed for their complete healing from the physical, emotional and psychological trauma they endured during their captivity.
He expressed confidence that under Governor Makinde’s leadership, Oyo State would continue to strengthen its reputation as one of Nigeria’s most peaceful and secure states.
