The lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly and the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) candidate for the constituency, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi, popularly known as Jagaban, on the second anniversary of his passing.
In a statement released on Friday, Babajide Gabriel described the late federal legislator as a remarkable statesman whose dedication to the welfare of his constituents transformed lives and strengthened the bond between the people and democratic governance.

He noted that although two years have passed since Jagaban’s demise, his outstanding record of service, accessibility, and unwavering commitment to the people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency remain fresh in the minds of those who benefited from his leadership.
According to the lawmaker, Jagaban’s tenure in the House of Representatives was defined by impactful representation, people-oriented interventions, and a sincere passion for improving the living conditions of ordinary citizens.
“Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi was more than a public office holder; he was a servant-leader who understood the true meaning of representation. He devoted himself to the advancement of our constituency and ensured that the voices of the people were heard at the national level,” Babajide Gabriel said.
He further stated that the late lawmaker’s exemplary conduct, generosity, and unwavering commitment to public service have continued to inspire a new generation of political leaders who aspire to serve with integrity and sincerity.

Babajide Gabriel stressed that Jagaban’s enduring legacy cannot be measured only by the projects he facilitated but also by the hope he restored in the minds of countless constituents through his compassion, humility, and readiness to stand with the people in both joyful and difficult moments.
He urged residents of Ibadan North to continue to cherish the values of unity, sacrifice, and selfless service exemplified by the late legislator, noting that the greatest honour that can be paid to his memory is to sustain the ideals he lived for.
