The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke Ayodele on Monday joined members of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Oyo State Chapter, as they commenced activities marking the association’s 40th anniversary celebration.

The Chairman participated in the anniversary rally held as part of the week-long programme designed to celebrate FOMWAN’s remarkable four decades of dedicated service to humanity, promotion of Islamic values, women empowerment, youth development, education, humanitarian outreach, environmental sustainability and community development across Oyo State.

While Addressing members during the event, Hon. Adeleke expressed profound admiration for the invaluable contributions of FOMWAN to nation-building, particularly its commitment to uplifting vulnerable members of society through educational support, humanitarian interventions, moral guidance and community-based initiatives.

The Chairman described the association as a shining example of selfless service, noting that its consistent efforts in promoting peace, family values, education and social development have continued to positively impact countless lives across Ibarapa Central and Oyo State.

Hon. Adeleke stated that he was deeply touched after learning more about the association’s numerous developmental and humanitarian activities, especially its support for the less privileged and its enduring commitment to the welfare of communities.

He commended the members for remaining steadfast in their mission of building a more compassionate and responsible society.

He further assured the association of his administration’s continued support for initiatives that promote education, youth development, women’s empowerment, peaceful coexistence and community progress, emphasizing that sustainable development can only be achieved through collaboration between government and responsible civil society organizations.

Speaking on behalf of the association, the Ibarapa Coordinator of FOMWAN, Mrs. Oguntowo Muibat, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Adeleke for honouring their invitation despite his demanding official schedule.

She described the Chairman as a responsive and people-oriented leader whose presence at the event demonstrated his respect for community organizations and his commitment to inclusive leadership.

She also offered fervent prayers for divine wisdom, sound health, greater strength and continued success for Hon. Adeleke as he continues to serve the good people of Ibarapa Central.

The event featured prayers for peace, unity, and continued progress in Ibarapa Land, Oyo State and Nigeria while participants reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the ideals upon which FOMWAN was founded over four decades ago.

Hon. Adeleke congratulated the leadership and entire members of FOMWAN on their 40th anniversary, praying that Almighty Allah would continue to strengthen the association and grant it greater grace to sustain its noble mission of serving humanity and advancing community development.
