The gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke FCA, has paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on Sunday after the conclusion of the party’s primary election.

Adegoke, who holds the traditional title of Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, visited the revered monarch at his palace in Ibadan, where he expressed appreciation for the royal father’s continuous prayers, guidance and support.

Speaking during the visit, the ADC governorship candidate described the Olubadan as a father figure whose wisdom and leadership have continued to promote peace and unity across Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.

According to Adegoke, the visit was necessary to seek royal blessings and reaffirm his commitment to responsible leadership and people-oriented governance.

“I have come to pay homage to my father, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, after the successful completion of our party primary election. Kabiyesi remains a symbol of wisdom, peace and cultural pride for all sons and daughters of Ibadanland,” he said.

He further noted that traditional institutions remain critical stakeholders in the development of society, stressing that his administration, if elected, would continue to respect and collaborate with traditional rulers across the state.
