The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has produced Adegoke as its gubernatorial candidate ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State, following the party’s primary election held amid excitement among party faithful and supporters.







 

Speaking shortly after his emergence, the ADC flagbearer expressed gratitude to party leaders and members for finding him worthy of the governorship ticket, while assuring residents of Oyo State that his administration would usher in unprecedented development across all sectors.




A visibly excited Adegoke described his emergence as the beginning of “another chapter” for Oyo State and Nigeria at large, pledging not to disappoint the people if elected governor in the February 2027 election.

According to him, his administration would prioritize massive job creation, urban renewal, education, healthcare, and security, stressing that Oyo State would witness positive transformation under his leadership.

“I feel great. I feel happy. I feel elated. I feel on top of the world because I know today is the beginning of another chapter in our state and in this country,” he declared.

 

 

 


The ADC candidate promised to focus heavily on economic growth and human capital development, noting that his government would invest significantly in securing lives, property, and the state’s resources.

“There will be massive job creation. There will be massive urban renewal. The education sector will be focused on properly. The health sector will not be neglected,” he stated.

Adegoke further assured residents that insecurity, kidnapping, and internal attacks would be tackled decisively through strategic investments in security architecture and intelligence gathering.

“There will be security. There will not be kidnapping. There will not be internal attacks. We are going to invest maximum into the security of man and human resources and the security of our resources,” he added.

The gubernatorial candidate also called on ADC members and supporters to begin grassroots mobilization and voter education across the state ahead of the 2027 governorship poll.

“The work has just started. We need to go all out to educate our people that it is a new dawn for Oyo State,” he said.

Adegoke reiterated his appreciation to the leadership and members of ADC for the confidence reposed in him, assuring that the party would deliver on its promises to the people of Oyo State.
