Hon. Akinyemi Akinpelu has emerged as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Federal House of Representatives, Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, following the successful conclusion of the party’s primary election.

Akinpelu secured victory after polling overwhelming support from party delegates and members across the federal constituency, further demonstrating his growing acceptance and political strength within the ADC family and among grassroots stakeholders.







 

The primary election, which was described by party officials as peaceful, transparent, and credible, witnessed active participation from delegates, party faithful, and supporters who turned out in large numbers to exercise their democratic rights.




Speaking shortly after his emergence, Hon. Akinyemi Akinpelu appreciated party leaders, delegates, supporters, and members of the ADC for the confidence reposed in him, assuring them that he would justify the trust placed in his candidacy.

According to him, his emergence represents a collective victory for the people of Egbeda and Ona-Ara who are yearning for purposeful leadership, quality representation, and sustainable development across the constituency.

He further emphasized the need for unity among party members and called on all aspirants and stakeholders to work together ahead of the 2027 general elections.

 

 

 


“This victory belongs to every committed member of our party and the good people of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency.

I sincerely appreciate the support and encouragement received throughout this journey.

Together, we will build a better future anchored on effective representation, youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and people-centered governance,” he stated.

Hon. Akinyemi Akinpelu also reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots politics and pledged to run an inclusive campaign that would accommodate the interests and aspirations of all residents within the constituency.
