The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) House of Assembly aspirant for Ibadan South-West Constituency II, Hon. Akinsete Olakunle, has officially obtained the party’s nomination form ahead of the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election, declaring his readiness to provide impactful and people-centered representation to his constituency.
Speaking shortly after collecting the nomination form at the party secretariat, Hon. Akinsete thanked Governor Seyi Makinde, describing him as the “people’s governor.”

He also expressed appreciation to his team (Team Shete) for standing firmly by him. Hon. Akinsete Olakunle described his aspiration as a continuation of his long-standing commitment to humanitarian service, community upliftment, and inclusive development that cuts across political, religious, and ethnic lines.




Known for his philanthropic gestures and consistent support for both young and old across different communities, irrespective of party affiliation, Hon. Akinsete reaffirmed that his political ambition is driven by a genuine desire to improve lives and strengthen grassroots development.
According to him, Ibadan South-West Constituency II deserves a representative who is accessible, compassionate, and deeply connected to the needs of the people, adding that his legislative drive will focus on policies that directly improve the living standards of constituents.
“My decision to contest is borne out of my passion for service and my commitment to ensuring that Ibadan South-West Constituency II enjoys impactful and effective representation at the Oyo State House of Assembly,” he stated.

Hon. Akinsete Olakunle assured constituents that his agenda at the Assembly would prioritize youth empowerment, education support, healthcare improvement, small business growth, infrastructural development, and social welfare initiatives aimed at strengthening community well-being.
He emphasized that his lifestyle has prepared him for people-oriented leadership, noting that he will continue to extend hands of support and upliftment to constituents without discrimination, as he has always done in his private capacity.
Hon. Akinsete Olakunle also thanked party faithful, co-aspirants, leaders, stakeholders, and residents of Ibadan South-West Constituency II for their continuous support and for believing in his vision, stressing that collective effort remains key to achieving meaningful development.
He further appreciated the encouragement and trust shown by various stakeholders within the party and the constituency, assuring them that he would not take their confidence for granted if given the mandate to serve.
He reiterated his commitment to impactful representation anchored on transparency, accessibility, and continuous engagement with the people, pledging to remain a strong voice for development and progress in Ibadan South-West Constituency II.
