The Deputy Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon. Kazim Adeyinka Adeniyi Bibire, has congratulated Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe on his confirmation by the Nigerian Senate as the Minister of Power.

The Senate had earlier confirmed Tegbe alongside other ministerial nominees following a screening exercise that assessed their competence and preparedness for national assignments.

In a congratulatory message issued on Thursday, Bibire described Tegbe’s confirmation as a well-deserved elevation, noting that it reflects confidence in his capacity to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s power sector reforms.

Bibire, who served as the Director-General of Tegbe’s 2023 senatorial campaign under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo South Senatorial District, said the new appointment presents a significant opportunity for Tegbe to make a lasting national impact.

He expressed optimism that Tegbe would bring his wealth of experience, discipline, and dedication to bear in addressing the challenges facing Nigeria’s electricity sector, including power generation, transmission, and distribution.

Bibire also commended the Senate for what he described as a thorough confirmation process, which he said reinforces public confidence in the quality of leadership being appointed into key national positions.

He prayed that God would grant the new Minister of Power greater wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to excel in his new role, while also seeking divine guidance, strength, and direction for him as he assumes the responsibility of serving the nation.

According to him, Tegbe’s appointment comes at a critical time when Nigeria requires bold reforms and innovative solutions to stabilize its energy sector and drive economic growth.

“May God grant you wisdom, understanding, and the grace to succeed in this national assignment.

I am confident you will deliver excellently,” Bibire stated.
