The Frontline Progressives of Ibadanland has described the growing endorsement of Hon. Sunday Olusegun Babanumi for the Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency seat as a clear reflection of institutional and collective confidence in his ability to deliver.

In a statement issued in Ibadan on Wednesday, the socio-political group said Babanumi’s acceptance across both local governments is not accidental but rooted in his track record, accessibility, and deep understanding of the people’s needs.

“The endorsement of Mayegun Babanumi as a federal representative is a reflection of IBNW & IBSW constituents’ institutional and collective confidence in his ability to deliver,” the group stated.

The Frontline Progressives noted that Babanumi, a home-bred product and ‘son-of-the-soil’, has consistently demonstrated commitment, loyalty, and compassion in both private and public life.

“His campaign slogan ‘Ajosee ni Ajooje’ – collective effort brings collective benefit – resonates because the people see him as one of them.

He treads our community daily, feels our pains, and speaks our language,” the statement added.

The group said Babanumi’s blend of grassroots knowledge and grasp of national politics makes him a bold, fair, and truthful representative who will not “shake out” the constituents when it matters most.

They urged party leaders and delegates to respect the will of the people and ensure a process rooted in justice and equity, insisting that Babanumi remains the preferred and dependable choice for 2027.
