Yesterday Friday April 10, I had the distinct honour of visiting the APC State Secretariat in Oke Ado, Ibadan for a high-level physical interaction with the leadership of our great party.
Beyond the strategic consultations, the primary catalyst for my visit was to personally extend my warmest congratulations to our State Chairman, His Excellency, Chief Dr. Moses Alake Adeyemo, on his stellar achievement in successfully defending his PhD thesis at the University of Ibadan.
Standing before him, I recognised not just a political leader, but a fellow scholar who has demonstrated that the pursuit of excellence is a continuous journey.
This meeting afforded us a noteworthy moment of intellectual camaraderie which reinforced the fact that the Oyo APC is a house built on the dual pillars of veteran experience and academic sophistication.
The visit provided me with the privilege of further articulating my vision for the 2027 governorship of Oyo State.
I walked the room deeply into my comprehensive 20-Point Agenda, with a specific emphasis on my revolutionary approach to education which includes the proposed stipend for parents to ensure massive enrollment and keep our children off the streets.
I spoke passionately about incentives for our hardworking teachers, health reforms that prioritise the vulnerable, and an economic industrialisation plan designed to unlock the latent potential of our geopolitical zones.
I re-emphasised that my run is not fueled by mere blind ambition, but by a genuine flair for service and a commitment to setting the right rungs on our developmental ladder to return Oyo State to its glorious path.
I also seized the opportunity to address the skepticism expressed by those who perceive my proposed reforms as “unrealistic” or overly ambitious. I reassured the leadership that these plans are not only achievable but are fundamental to modern governance.
Drawing from my global exposure and professional experience, I reiterated that providing basic needs through innovative policy is standard practice in functional societies.
To give these plans more substance, I had the pleasure of presenting copies of my book, “Our Realistic Tomorrow,” to the State Working Committee members in attendance, including the Chairman, the General Secretary, the Publicity Secretary, the Oyo South Youth Leader, and host of others.
This book is a detailed blueprint which proves that my aspirations are backed by rigorous research and a pragmatic roadmap.
Central to my presentation was a reaffirmation of my identity as a democrat to the core and, more importantly, a loyal party man.
I explicitly stated my commitment to abide by the collective choice and institutional decisions of the APC regarding the selection of our gubernatorial flag-bearer, whether through a primary election or a consensus arrangement.
While I am an advocate for the democratic process, I also expressed my firm belief that, based on the quality of my vision and my unquestionable commitment to the party’s growth, I will emerge as the natural choice of the fold. I am not running against the party, rather to be the party’s most effective vessel for reclaiming Agodi Government House.
The response from the leadership was both humbling and invigorating. His Excellency, Chief Dr. Moses Alake Adeyemo, was visibly impressed by the depth of my presentation, ultimately bestowing upon me the title of “The Orator” in recognition of my articulatory prowess and the logical quality of my thoughts. Other executives, including the Publicity Secretary, lauded my intellectual contributions and extended their best wishes for my journey.
In line with the tradition of progressive support, I extended my goodwill to the party for its ongoing operations and pledged even more substantial support moving forward.
I left the Secretariat more convinced than ever that when we combine the energy of our camp, the wisdom of the elders, and the precision of logic, the victory of the APC in 2027 becomes an inevitable reality.
