Hon. Abiola Monsuru Olalekan, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) consensus candidate for Akinyele State Constituency I and the lawmaker representing the constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for creating an enabling environment that allowed leaders and stakeholders in Akinyele Local Government to reach a unified consensus.
Hon. Olalekan described the governor’s role as a testament to his unwavering commitment to unity, inclusiveness, and internal democracy within the PDP, noting that such leadership continues to strengthen the party’s foundation across the state.
He reserved special and profound appreciation for the PDP leaders and stakeholders in Akinyele, whose sacrifices, wisdom, and sense of responsibility, he said, made the consensus process seamless and successful.
He lauded them for placing the collective interest of the party and the people above personal ambitions, describing their action as a rare display of political maturity, selflessness, and exemplary leadership.

According to him, the trust reposed in him by the leaders and stakeholders is both humbling and inspiring, adding that their unwavering support, guidance, and commitment to unity have set a solid path for sustained peace and progress within the party in Akinyele.
Hon. Olalekan further commended the stakeholders for their steadfast dedication to the growth of the PDP, emphasizing that their unity and cooperation have not only strengthened party cohesion but also reinforced public confidence in the party’s leadership at the grassroots.
He also acknowledged the other aspirants who showed interest in the position, praising their understanding, sportsmanship, and loyalty to the party’s ideals, which he noted played a crucial role in achieving a peaceful consensus.
Reaffirming his commitment, Hon. Olalekan assured that he would justify the confidence reposed in him by delivering more purposeful, inclusive, and development-driven representation.
