In a strong and uncompromising stance, a leading aspirant in Lagelu Local Government, Chief (Mrs.) Hajia Oluwatoyin Fatimoh Oyegbori-Oluwa, has issued a firm warning to the public to disregard any claims of endorsement surrounding Honorable Akintunde A.K.T for a third term in the Oyo State House of Assembly.

Reacting to the growing rumours, Oyegbori-Oluwa described the reports as entirely false, misleading, and a calculated attempt to manipulate the political atmosphere within Lagelu.

According to her, the recent meeting of party leaders was strictly for consultation and ended without any resolution, following noticeable irregularities and interference that disrupted the process.
“I was not part of any gathering where such endorsement was made. What took place was a leaders’ meeting that did not reach any conclusion due to serious concerns raised by stakeholders,” she stated firmly.
She further condemned attempts by certain individuals to force decisions on party leaders, stressing that Lagelu’s political future cannot and will not be dictated by imposition or external influence.
Oyegbori-Oluwa also dismissed claims linking the alleged endorsement to Governor Seyi Makinde, noting that such assertions are baseless and inconsistent with the governor’s well-known commitment to fairness, justice, and democratic principles.
Describing the endorsement narrative as a deliberate fabrication, she warned those behind it to desist from spreading misinformation capable of causing division within the party.
“Our position as leaders is clear — no endorsement was made. We will seek proper clarification directly from the governor to ensure transparency and uphold democratic values,” she added.
Reaffirming her commitment to unity, due process, and credible leadership, Oyegbori-Oluwa urged party faithful and the general public to remain calm, vigilant, and not fall prey to politically motivated falsehoods.
She concluded with a strong caution: any purported endorsement being circulated should be treated as null, void, and of no consequence, as Lagelu will not bow to pressure, manipulation, or undemocratic practices.
