Youth stakeholders in Ibarapa East Local Government have made a strong and resounding call to the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, to sustain the current leadership in the council by supporting the continuity of the Executive Chairman, Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade.
Operating under the aegis of Ibarapa East Youths for Good Governance, the group described Arogundade as “a blessing” to the local government and a transformative figure whose leadership has reshaped both governance and political cohesion in the area.

In a statement made available to newsmen, the youths commended the chairman’s administrative style, noting that his approach to governance has not only enhanced service delivery but also strengthened unity within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and across the broader community.

They particularly applauded his cordial and strategic relationship with the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, as well as his alignment with respected political leader, Adewale Alase, describing the synergy as instrumental to the peace and steady development currently enjoyed in Ibarapa East.
According to the group, Arogundade’s leadership has ushered in a new era of tranquility, grassroots development, and political stability, positioning the local government as a model within the state.
The youths, therefore, unanimously called for his re-election, emphasizing that a second term would guarantee the consolidation of ongoing projects, deepen party unity, and accelerate development across the council area.

They further expressed confidence that retaining Arogundade in office would ensure the seamless implementation of the Omituntun 3.0 agenda, stressing that the people of Ibarapa East remain committed supporters of Governor Makinde’s vision and are ready to back every initiative aimed at advancing the state’s progress.
“The continuity of Hon. Arogundade will not only sustain the current momentum but also strengthen the foundation for greater achievements in Ibarapa East,” the statement concluded.
