As political conversations around the 2027 general elections begin to gather momentum, stakeholders across Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency are shifting the narrative from zoning and sentiment to competence, capacity and electability, rallying strong support for Tosin Alabi as a credible contender.

At a series of consultations and engagements within the constituency, party leaders, community influencers and grassroots mobilisers emphasised that the forthcoming election must prioritise effective representation over sectional considerations.

According to them, the future of Egbeda/Ona-Ara lies not in where a candidate comes from, but in what they can deliver.

“This is not about Egbeda or Ona-Ara. It is about presenting a competent personality who understands the needs of the people and has the capacity to represent the constituency effectively at the federal level,” a prominent stakeholder remarked.

Amid this growing consensus, Tosin Alabi has emerged as a strong focal point of support, with many describing him as a bridge-builder with the experience and political will required to unify the constituency and secure electoral victory.

In his response to the wave of endorsements, Alabi assured stakeholders of his readiness to justify their confidence if given the party’s ticket.

He expressed gratitude for the trust reposed in him, pledging to run an inclusive campaign anchored on service, accessibility and results.

“I am deeply encouraged by the confidence shown in me by stakeholders across the constituency. If given the opportunity, I will not only work to secure victory for our party but also ensure that our people enjoy quality representation that reflects their aspirations,” he said.

Supporters argued that Alabi’s appeal cuts across communities, positioning him as a unifying figure capable of strengthening party cohesion while attracting broader electoral support.

They further noted that his understanding of grassroots dynamics and commitment to development make him a formidable aspirant in the race ahead.

Political observers believed the growing alignment behind Alabi signals an early consolidation of support that could shape the trajectory of the 2027 contest in Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency.

With calls for merit-based candidacy gaining traction, stakeholders insisted that the priority must remain clear: presenting a candidate with the competence, credibility and capacity to win elections and deliver meaningful representation.
