The Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission and Baale of Lakoto, Osajin, Masoke, Believers Quarters and Environs, Alhaji Chief Kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe, has rejoiced with the Muslim Ummah in Oyo State on the successful completion of the thirty days of Ramadan fasting and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

In a statement released
on the occasion, Alhaji Aderibigbe congratulated Muslims across the state under the spiritual leadership of the Chief Imaam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdul-Ganiy Agbotomokekere, describing the completion of Ramadan as a testament to the faith, discipline, and devotion of the faithful.

He noted that Ramadan remains a sacred period marked by sacrifice, compassion, and spiritual renewal, urging Muslims to sustain the virtues imbibed during the holy month.

Alhaji Aderibigbe lauded the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde FNSE, DSc, GSSRS for fostering an inclusive and peaceful atmosphere that allows adherents of all religions to practice their faith without discrimination.


 

 

According to him, the governor’s leadership has continued to strengthen unity and religious harmony across the state.

The Commission Chairman further lauded the Deputy Governor, AbdulRaheem Adebayo Lawal, for his generosity throughout the Ramadan period, noting that his consistent hosting of Muslim faithful for iftar during the thirty days reflected compassion, service, and dedication to the people.

While congratulating residents on the Eid celebration, Alhaji, Chief Kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe admonished the people of Oyo State to allow the lessons of Ramadan and the Christian Lent period to guide their daily interactions.

He emphasized the need for love, tolerance, sacrifice, and mutual respect among citizens, adding that such values would promote peaceful coexistence and a symbiotic relationship within the state.

He concluded by offering prayers for the continued success of the Makinde-led administration, asking Almighty Allah to grant the state lasting peace, stability, and progress.

The statement wished all Muslim faithful a joyous and fulfilling Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

His message reads:

I, Alhaji Chief Kamoru Abiodun Aderibigbe, Chairman, Oyo State Civil Service Commission and Baale of Lakoto, Osajin, Masoke, Believers Quarters and Environs, heartily rejoice with the entire Muslim Ummah in Oyo State under the revered leadership of the Chief Imaam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdul-Ganiy Agbotomokekere, on the successful completion of the thirty days of Ramadan fasting and the joyous celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

The holy month of Ramadan is a period of deep spiritual reflection, sacrifice, compassion, and renewed devotion to Almighty Allah.

Its successful completion is indeed a testament to the unwavering faith, discipline, and commitment of the Muslim faithful.

I also wish to specially appreciate the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, FNSE, DSc, GSSRS, for his exemplary leadership and for providing an enabling environment where all religious faithful can practice their faith freely, peacefully, and without any form of bias.

This gesture continues to strengthen unity and harmony across our dear state.

Equally commendable is the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Barrister AbdulRaheem Adebayo Lawal, whose generosity throughout the holy month was remarkable, as he consistently hosted Muslim faithful to iftar during the entire thirty days.

This act of kindness and service reflects true leadership and compassion.

As we celebrate, I admonish all sons and daughters of Oyo State to allow the lessons of Ramadan, alongside the reflective season of Lent, to positively influence our daily dealings with one another.

Let love, tolerance, sacrifice, and mutual respect guide our interactions, as these values are essential for fostering a symbiotic and peaceful coexistence among our people.

Finally, I pray that Almighty Allah continues to guide and bless the government of Oyo State under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, granting the state enduring peace, progress, and tranquility.
