A governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, has intensified mobilization of party members across the state to participate actively in the ongoing PDP digital membership registration exercise ahead of the submission deadline of the party’s membership register as required by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Olajide, who represents Ibadan North-west/Ibadan South-west federal constituency of Oyo state in the House of Representatives, said the exercise remains crucial to strengthening the party’s internal structure and ensuring its readiness for future electoral contests.

The lawmaker made the call during series of meetings with PDP stakeholders, ward executives and party faithful across several local government areas in the state, over the weekend.
According to him, membership registration remains the backbone of any political party, stressing that a credible and comprehensive register is essential for internal democracy, effective mobilization and strategic planning.

Olajide noted that, the requirement by the Independent National Electoral Commission, that political parties maintain updated digital and physical membership registers, further highlight the importance of the ongoing exercise.
The gubernatorial aspirant emphasized that the registration exercise is not only about fulfilling regulatory requirements but also about participation and ensuring that members are fully integrated into the party’s decision making processes.
He added that active participation in the exercise would enhance unity within the party and prepare it for future political engagements in Oyo state and urged PDP members and supporters across the state to take advantage of the registration process to formalize their membership and strengthen the party’s grassroots presence.
“Ensuring that our membership register is accurate and comprehensive is fundamental to sustaining our democratic processes and positioning our electoral base for success at the polls,” Olajide said.
Olajide also commended the leadership of the PDP in the state for sustaining internal cohesion and maintaining strong party structures across wards and local governments.
According to him, the party’s continued relevance in the political landscape of the state is as a result of its strong grassroots appeal and commitment to democratic governance.
The lawmaker, while calling on party leaders at ward, local government and state levels to intensify awareness campaigns to ensure that no eligible member is left out of the registration process before the INEC deadline, expressed confidence that with sustained mobilization among party members, the PDP would remain a dominant political force in Oyo state.
