A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ibadan North Constituency II, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, has commended the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, for his impactful leadership as he concludes his tenure as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.

In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen on Tuesday, Babajide described Ogundoyin’s tenure as remarkable, noting that his leadership elevated not only the Conference of Speakers but also enhanced the legislative profile of Oyo State at the national level.

According to the lawmaker, Ogundoyin’s chairmanship was marked by inclusiveness, strategic engagement, and sustained advocacy for the independence and effectiveness of state legislatures across the country.

He said Ogundoyin consistently demonstrated maturity, vision, and administrative competence, qualities which, he noted, earned him the respect of his colleagues and stakeholders within Nigeria’s legislative ecosystem.

 


 

 

Babajide further stated that Ogundoyin’s leadership strengthened inter-legislative collaboration among state assemblies, while also promoting best practices, capacity building, and policy dialogue aimed at deepening democratic governance.

The Ibadan North II lawmaker stressed that Oyo State remains proud of the achievements recorded during Ogundoyin’s tenure, describing his performance as a testament to the Pacesetter State’s tradition of producing visionary leaders.

He added that Ogundoyin’s legacy as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers would endure beyond his tenure, serving as a benchmark for future office holders and reinforcing the state’s reputation for legislative excellence.
