








The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has officially sworn in Mr. Orebinrin Adewumi Ola as Assistant Secretary II, alongside Hon. Olurinde Kabiru (Supervisory Councilor, Ward 1) and Hon. Ayo James (Supervisory Councilor, Ward 12), in a significant ceremony held at the Chairman’s Office in Agodi, Ibadan.

The swearing-in ceremony followed the recent administrative restructuring within the local government aimed at strengthening discipline, enhancing governance, and ensuring effective grassroots service delivery.

The oath of office was administered by the Director of Administration and General Services of Ibadan North Local Government, Mrs. Ejiade Olusola, who formally inducted the new appointees into their respective positions.

Delivering his goodwill message, the Ibadan North Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Leader, Baba Ismaila Ashipa, described the newly appointed officials as products of loyalty and unwavering commitment to the party.
He advised them to remain steadfast in their allegiance to the Executive Chairman and the PDP, stressing that there would be no room for chameleonic attitudes within the political structure.

He assured party faithfuls that the dividends of party loyalty would continue to reach all deserving members.

In his goodwill remarks, former Chief of Staff to the Ibadan North Council Chairman, Pastor Oderajo, urged the appointees and party faithfuls to always place their hope in God for success and achievement.
He described the appointments as clear recognition of loyalty and dedication to the PDP and reminded them that Governor Seyi Makinde remains the number one leader of the party in Oyo State.

Pastor Oderajo also offered prayers for Hon. Olufade, whom he described as a transformational chairman making the good people of Ibadan North proud through impactful leadership.

In his address, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade expressed gratitude to God for witnessing the occasion and greeted attendees in the name of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.


He congratulated the new appointees and described the swearing-in as a significant political and administrative milestone reflecting loyalty, identity, and dedication to the PDP.

The Chairman noted that all necessary administrative procedures had been duly completed prior to the appointments.

He recalled that just weeks earlier, a Special Assistant had been sworn in and, recently, 49 Special Assistants to Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON) were also inaugurated, noting that many beneficiaries never anticipated their appointments yet were rewarded through party loyalty.

Hon. Olufade assured party members that the dividends of loyalty would continue to circulate across the PDP structure until every deserving member is reached.


He urged the newly appointed officials to work assiduously in their respective wards to ensure overwhelming PDP victories in forthcoming elections.
Delivering Governor Makinde’s message of assurance, he emphasized that the PDP will not only survive but continue to thrive through unity and discipline.

The vote of thanks was delivered by the Oyo State PDP Public Relations Officer, Hon. Michael Ogunsina, who appreciated all attendees, party faithfuls, and the management staff of Ibadan North Local Government.
He stressed that actions carry consequences and warned that disloyalty would not be tolerated within the party, noting that many loyal members remain deserving of appointments and any erring appointee could be replaced immediately.
He encouraged the new officials to foster unity by extending hands of fellowship to party members.

In their separate remarks, Mr. Orebinrin Adewumi Ola, Hon. Olurinde Kabiru, and Hon. Ayo James expressed profound appreciation to Hon. Olufade and party leaders for the confidence reposed in them, pledging to serve diligently and uphold the values of the PDP.

The ceremony ended on a strong note of unity, discipline, and renewed commitment to strengthening grassroots governance and consolidating the PDP’s dominance in Ibadan North Local Government.
