As part of his efforts to contribute to the body of knowledge, intellectualism, development of Oyo State, and progress of mankind, one of the governorship aspirants in the state on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Adewale Kolapo Kareem, popularly known as AKK, launched a book titled “Our Realistic Tomorrow” at NBA Centre, Aare Afe Babalola Hall, Iyaganku, Ibadan, on Saturday, January 10.
The development-oriented book comprises details on a blueprint for model and leadership which focuses on food and human security, education for all irrespective of status in the society, economic stability and development, health policy, trade and commerce, etc.

Hon. Charles Olufemi, Special Assistant to the President on Initiative Empowerment on Youth Agriculture, commended Kareem for his intellectual capacity in contributing to the academic works.
“One who is not intellectually endowed can’t ever know what to write,” he said while maintaining that politicians don’t write books because he knows perfectly well that people will use what he wrote to interrogate him when he doesn’t deliver.
“President Tinubu has been supporting the youths of the country with numerous empowerment programmes.
The Renewed Hope policy has initiated a major agricultural transformation in the country, which will reduce unemployment and empower the youth. I’m happy that Kareem wrote about agriculture in his books.
“I’ve travelled around Oke-Ogun, but the state government doesn’t have meaningful achievements in agriculture, such as a good road network that can connect the state with neighbouring states,” said Olufemi.
In his remarks, Oyo APC Spokesperson, Hon. Wale Sadare, described Kareem as a man of excellence, passion, humility and purpose.
The Western world criticises Africans, but Kareem is among the few they have more respect for. Australia is a country that appreciates sound knowledge.
If you can’t add value to their society, you won’t be welcome. If Kareem can be making waves in Australia, it shows he is very brilliant, committed and responsible.
Sadare continued, “Our party valued intellect. If we are celebrating anyone, that means the person wants to contribute to the development of the society. He encouraged the author to pass the copy of his books to the party leaders.
In his remarks, Kareem lauded President Tinubu’s renewed hope. He noted that the president symbolised his ideas of leadership.
“The first 45 pages consist of my blueprint. A blueprint for a model and leadership. He relayed his evolution from birth and educational background.
His manifesto cut across different sectors, such as free education, which the government will be funding per head. All children should have access to free and quality education regardless of their background and the school they attend – public or private.
My government will properly fund 75% of fees of private school students. This is achievable through accurate data. The certainty of job creation is high with qualitative education.
Kareem hinted, “In the health sector, another initiative will be brought on board by the establishment of mobile clinics so that people will have access to sound health care which meets 21st-century standards – Security: CCTV CAMERAS will be installed across the state to reduce insecurity.
