







The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has warmly welcomed pupils and students in both primary and secondary schools across the council area as they resume for the second term, while also extending heartfelt wishes for a prosperous and fulfilling New Year 2026 to teachers, parents, and students.
In his goodwill message made available through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu, Hon. Olufade described education as the bedrock of sustainable development, encouraging students to return to their studies with renewed enthusiasm, discipline, and a strong commitment to academic excellence.
He noted that meaningful learning must go hand in hand with sound character formation in grooming responsible and visionary future leaders.
The council chairman commended teachers and parents for their unwavering dedication, sacrifices, and continuous support in nurturing young minds.




He called for strengthened collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment where children can flourish.
“As a government, we remain steadfast in our commitment to education.
We will continue to support policies and initiatives that guarantee access to quality learning opportunities for every child in Ibadan North, enabling them to reach their full potential and contribute positively to society,” Hon. Olufade assured.
He further wished pupils, students, teachers, and parents a successful and productive academic term, while praying that 2026 ushers in new opportunities, growth, peace, and outstanding achievements for all.
“Welcome back to school, and as you journey through the new term and the new year, may your dreams find wings to soar,” he concluded.
