


In his characteristic style of responsive and people-centered leadership, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has once again brought succour to the residents of his council area with the commissioning of three motorised boreholes and the donation of three power-generating sets to different communities within the local government.
The commissioning ceremonies, which took place on Monday, 13th October 2025, further underscored the administration’s commitment to improving the living standards of the people through tangible and community-driven projects.
Hon. Olufade, who recently distributed hundreds of chairs, tables, school bags, sandals, chalks, and markers to all public primary schools in Ibadan North, commissioned the latest community project at Abadina Community, Ward 11, within the University of Ibadan axis.
The event attracted excitement and appreciation from residents, who described the project as a timely intervention addressing their long-standing challenge of water scarcity.

The Chairman of the Oyo State Youth Development Agency, Hon. Adebowale Falana, a proud son of Ward 11, performed the commissioning on behalf of the council boss.
While commending Hon. Olufade for being a responsive and compassionate leader, he lauded the initiative as one that would directly improve the welfare of the people.

“Hon. Olufade did not only provide boreholes but also donated power-generating sets to ensure uninterrupted access to clean water.

This is a hallmark of thoughtful leadership,” Falana stated, praying for greater achievements for the Olufade administration.

The second borehole was commissioned by the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North Local Government, Comrade Ademuyiwa Mustapha at the Hausa Community in Sango Ojurin, Ward 8.

Comrade Mustapha commended Hon. Olufade’s developmental strides across all sectors, describing him as a shining example of the PDP’s people-oriented governance.

He also handed over the generating set to power the borehole, emphasizing the need for community ownership and maintenance.
The third borehole was commissioned at Yemetu Adeoyo, Ward 3, with Comrade Mustapha again presiding over the exercise.


He handed over generating set to the community as he reiterated the PDP’s commitment to grassroots development, urging residents to continue supporting Hon. Olufade and the PDP administration that has consistently delivered dividends of democracy.
“The PDP remains the party that listens to the people and brings meaningful projects that impact lives,” he affirmed.

In his remarks, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade creaffirmed his administration’s determination to make Ibadan North Local Governent a model of inclusive and progressive governance among the 33 local governments in Oyo State.

He explained that the borehole projects were executed based on specific community demands, stressing that his leadership would continue to respond swiftly to the genuine needs of the people within available resources.
“Our administration believes that development must be people-driven. These boreholes were not randomly constructed; they came as direct responses to the requests of the benefiting communities.

I assure our people that we will continue to provide interventions that truly matter,” Olufade stated.

He appreciated the management team of Ibadan North Local Government, councilors, supervisory councilors, and special assistants who facilitated and supervised the projects, urging them to remain good ambassadors of the administration.
