As preparations intensify for the AKK Town Hall Meeting, Book Launch, and Fundraising slated for Saturday, 11th October 2025, at Harris Academy Bermondsey Hall, London, frontline Oyo State APC governorship aspirant, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK), met with Hon. Adebayo Amusat ‘Gbenla’, Chairman of the Oyo State APC United Kingdom (UK) Chapter.
The meeting underscored unity, collaboration, and a shared vision for a prosperous Oyo State under a people-focused government.
During the meeting, Dr. Kareem and Hon. Amusat discussed the progress of Oyo State, AKK’s numerous achievements, and his readiness to collaborate with the APC UK executive and members to strengthen the party’s influence across borders.
Dr. Kareem expressed appreciation for the steadfast support of the APC UK leadership and reassured members of his commitment to inclusive governance when elected as Governor of Oyo State in 2027.
“Our brothers and sisters in the diaspora play a vital role in the growth and transformation of Oyo State.
Your ideas, investments, and engagement are essential to the future we seek.
When elected, I will ensure our administration provides room for every Oyo indigene — home and abroad — to contribute meaningfully to our development,” AKK affirmed.
He highlighted his achievements, including:
Founding Attaofeequ Billahi International School (ABIS) — providing quality education and scholarships to indigent students;
Establishing AB Farms — promoting youth employment and sustainable agriculture;
Introducing a ₦5 million non-interest loan scheme for artisans, traders, and small-scale entrepreneurs in Oyo State;
Creating the AKK Aseyori Group across all 33 Local Government Areas, strengthening grassroots participation and civic awareness.
In his response, Hon. Adebayo Amusat ‘Gbenla’ commended Dr. Kareem’s humility, dedication, and visionary approach to leadership.
He offered prayers for AKK’s success and assured him of the unwavering support of APC UK members.
The meeting concluded with renewed hope and unity of purpose as both leaders emphasized the importance of collective effort toward the 2027 elections.
