HURRAY!!! MY DARLING SISTER AND FRIEND AT SEVENTY
What a glorious day! It feels just like yesterday, yet here we are celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of my beloved sister and bosom friend, Her Excellency, Ayaba, Chief (Mrs.) Olayinka Mutiat Ladoja, the Maye Iyalode of Ibadanland, on this auspicious day, October 1st, 2025.
Our bond spans over five decades, beginning from our youthful days at Ahmadiyya Grammar School, Eleyele, Ibadan.
Through the years, you have remained a dependable big sister, a true confidant, and a lifelong friend.
Your Excellency, you were the one who graciously introduced me to the world of partisan politics under the Accord Party of Kabiyesi, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Akanmu Ladoja.Since then, I have proudly walked in the path of omo bàbá Ladoja.
As the Maye Ìyálode of Ibadanland, you have always inspired me with your selfless passion for community service and your unwavering concern for the less privileged, values you championed even from our secondary school days.
It was your encouragement that ignited my zeal for leadership and service, culminating in my installation as Baale Lakoto, Osajin, Masoke, and Believers’ Quarters in December 2024.
Mama Ìderade, your uncommon wisdom, sharp intellect, and fearless candor have remained your hallmark.
You handle complex matters with enviable grace and native intelligence, often blending humor with truth in ways that command respect.
As you mark this landmark birthday, I join countless others in praying that Almighty Allah continues to guide and guard you, grant you long life in sound health, divine wisdom, and abundant blessings to keep serving humanity with even greater impact. Ameen!
