The Vice Chairman of Egbeda Local Government and Political Head/Administrator of Ajorosun LCDA, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple, has applauded Governor Seyi Makinde for steering the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State to another milestone with the peaceful and well-organised state congress held in Ibadan.
Hon. Simple noted that the smooth conduct of the congress is a reflection of the political stability and maturity the party has enjoyed under the governor, describing Makinde as a leader who understands the essence of inclusive governance and internal democracy.
He stressed that while political parties across the country continue to struggle with divisions and rancour, Oyo PDP under Governor Makinde has remained a fortress of peace, discipline, and progress.
“Governor Seyi Makinde has once again shown that politics is best practiced with tolerance, fairness, and vision.
His leadership has strengthened our structures and brought unity that is rare in today’s political space,” Hon. Simple said.
The Egbeda Vice Chairman further commended Otunba Seye Famojuro, whom he described as a pillar of support and a grassroots mobiliser whose humane approach and strong human relations have continued to serve as a binding force for party members.
“Otunba Famojuro deserves special recognition. He has become the glue holding the family together, ensuring that the voices of our members are heard and their loyalty is rewarded,” he added.
Hon. Simple also congratulated all the newly elected PDP executives, led by State Chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro.
He charged them to see their election as a call to service and to continue working with commitment and discipline to sustain the party’s growing strength.
“With this congress, Oyo PDP has set a new standard. I urge our new executives to justify the confidence reposed in them and to carry the spirit of unity and progress forward into the 2027 elections and beyond,” he said.
He concluded by affirming that with Governor Makinde’s visionary leadership, Otunba Famojuro’s strategic support, and the dedication of the new executives, the PDP in Oyo State will remain unbeatable.
