A prominent PDP chieftain from Ward 12 in Ibadan North, Hon. Dauda Adejare Lawal, has felicitated with His Royal Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Olubadan-designate, as he marks his 81st birthday.
In a lengthy goodwill message, Hon. Lawal described Baba Ladoja as “the father of modern Ibadan politics and tradition,” noting that his legacies in both spheres will never be forgotten.
“Baba’s political career was defined by courage, integrity, and people-centered service.
He stood firm when it mattered most, defended the rights of the voiceless, and left behind achievements that history cannot erase.
Today, God has honoured him with a greater responsibility: to ascend the revered throne of Olubadan,” Lawal said.
He praised Baba’s patience in steadily rising through the Ibadan chieftaincy system, describing his journey as one that inspires hope in generations yet unborn.
“As Baba turns 81, we pray that Allah grants him sound health, longevity, and wisdom to lead Ibadanland into an era of peace, unity, and progress.
We, in Ibadan North and Oyo State at large, are proud to call him our own,” Lawal concluded.
