In a remarkable show of philanthropy and love for education, Mrs. Adebola Ogunyemi Nee Adetona has donated 10,000 notebooks, each accompanied with a pen, to schools across Ibarapa Central Local Government.

The generous donation was made in loving memory of her late father, Chief Sabiu Adesope Adetona from Oworuntu Compound,Pako, Igboora, a highly respected community leader remembered for his lifelong service to humanity.



 

The distribution exercise was carried out across various schools within the local government, led by the Supervisory Councillor for Education, Hon. Olukunle Adegbemi, alongside the Chief of Staff, Hon. Yemi Atilola, the Deputy Director of Education, Mr. Goke Babarinde, and the PDP Party Chairman, Mr. Gbade Akinlolu.

Speaking through his Supervisory councilor for education, Hon olukunle adegbemi , while monitoring the distribution, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke, lauded Mrs. Adebola Ogunyemi for the thoughtful gesture, describing it as a priceless investment in the future of children within the council area.

He emphasized that education is the foundation of human and community development, noting that such support will not only ease the financial burden on parents but also inspire students to take their studies more seriously.

The Chairman further prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of Chief Sabiu Adesope Adetona, stressing that this donation is a testament to the noble values of kindness, generosity and community service that he embodied.

School principals across Ibarapa Central expressed profound gratitude to the donor, while students who received the materials were visibly excited and appreciative of the support.

Hon. Adeleke assured that his administration remains committed to building partnerships that will strengthen educational development across the local government, adding that the future of Ibarapa Central rests on equipping young minds with the tools to succeed.
