In a remarkable show of philanthropy and commitment to community development, Oloye Benedict Akika, the AgbaAkin of Olorunda-Abaa and Founder of the Omituntun Benedict Foundation, has donated solar-powered streetlights to Mammy Market, Ojurin Akobo.

The gesture came after Pastor Tayo Aderinto, Chairman of the market community, reached out to the philanthropist, citing his consistent record of giving back to society. Similarly, Mogajia Yetunde Olusegun, the Iyaloja of the market, had appealed for enhanced security within the marketplace through the installation of solar-powered lights.

Responding without hesitation, Oloye Akika fulfilled the request, presenting the streetlights unannounced to the delight of traders and residents. His intervention is expected to improve both the security and overall business environment of the busy market hub.

The Mammy Market community expressed heartfelt appreciation to Oloye Akika for his timely support, describing the gesture as another testament to his passion for the progress of Akoboland and Oyo State at large.
