Former House of Representatives aspirant and former councillor in Ward 12 of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi, has joined other leaders in celebrating the return of pupils and students to school as the new term begins.
In his message, Hon. Oyeniyi described education as the foundation of every successful society, noting that it is through the classroom that future leaders are molded.
He urged students to take their studies seriously, emphasizing that excellence in education remains the surest path to greatness.
He said, “This new academic term presents another opportunity for our children to learn, to grow, and to excel.
I call on all pupils and students to focus on their education with discipline and determination.
The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.”
Hon. Oyeniyi further applauded teachers for their selfless sacrifices, calling them “nation builders who remain the backbone of educational growth.”
He acknowledged the role of parents as partners in progress, urging them to continue guiding their children both morally and academically.
He expressed optimism that the new school term will bring about academic excellence, character development, and positive transformation for pupils across Ibadan North and Oyo State at large.
