The Ward 12 PDP Campaign Director General in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yusuff Gafar Olasunkanmi, popularly known as New Era, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Don on his well-deserved victory in the Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election and the subsequent receipt of his Certificate of Return in Abuja.
Hon. New Era described Hon. Don’s triumph as “the people’s mandate delivered with resounding clarity,” noting that the massive support received across the constituency is a testament to the trust reposed in the PDP and its candidates under the visionary leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.
While commending the Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for his unmatched leadership and unwavering support for grassroots democracy, Hon. New Era also singled out notable party leaders whose contributions were pivotal to the PDP’s emphatic victory.
He appreciated the unflinching support of the Governor’s ally, Otunba Seye Famojuro, the State PDP Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, as well as the collective sacrifices of the PDP State Executive Council and Ibadan North PDP executives led by Comrade Mustafa.
Special recognition was also given to the House of Assembly member representing Ibadan North Constituency 2, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, whose steadfastness, mobilization, and political experience played a significant role in energizing the campaign.
Hon. New Era further applauded the dogged efforts of the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, commissioners, local government chairmen across Oyo State, political appointees, and party faithful who worked tirelessly for the party’s success.
He reserved glowing tribute for the Campaign Committee headed by Hon. Demola Omotoso, describing their resilience and coordination as “the engine room of the victory.”
Beyond the political class, Hon. New Era expressed profound gratitude to the people of Ibadan North traditional rulers, religious leaders, artisans, traders, market men and women, students, youths, and non-indigenes whose overwhelming support at the polls cemented PDP’s triumph.
“This victory belongs to the people. It is a collective win for progress, unity, and continuity. Hon. Oyekunle Don now carries the hopes and aspirations of Ibadan North at the Green Chamber, and I am confident he will not disappoint,” New Era affirmed.
He urged Hon. Don to remain accessible, humble, and people-driven in his representation, assuring him of his unwavering loyalty and that of the Ibadan North PDP family.
