

The Executive Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security Coordination, Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba, has felicitated with Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Don on his emphatic triumph at the just concluded Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election and the official receipt of his Certificate of Return in Abuja.
Hon. Kabiru Salami De-Bomba, who hails from Ward 2 in Ibadan North Local Government, described Don’s overwhelming victory as “a reflection of the collective resolve of the people of Ibadan North to embrace continuity, progress, and purposeful representation at the National Assembly.”
In his goodwill message, the Governor’s aide expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, whose visionary leadership and commitment to democratic ideals provided the platform for the PDP to secure such a resounding win.
He also commended the tireless contributions of Otunba Seye Famojuro, the Governor’s trusted ally, describing him as “a dependable strategist and an unwavering pillar whose loyalty and dedication to the PDP family remain unmatched.”
Hon. De-Bomba further saluted the political dexterity of the PDP family, particularly the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, Federal lawmakers from Oyo State, members of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Commissioners, Local Government Chairmen, political appointees, and the PDP State Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, the entire PDP state executives and Ibadan North Local government executives under the leadership of comrade Mustafa.
He noted that their unrelenting sacrifices and solidarity were instrumental in reclaiming the mandate.
He reserved glowing praise for the Campaign Committee ably chaired by Hon. Demola Omotoso, whose resilience and coordination he acknowledged as “a driving force behind the resounding victory.”
Special appreciation, he said, must also go to the people of Ibadan North, including traditional rulers, religious leaders, artisans, market men and women, students, youths, non-indigenes, and the entire electorate for their overwhelming support at the polls, which he described as a loud statement in favour of good governance.
“This is not just a victory for Hon. Oyekunle Don or the PDP alone; it is a victory for the people of Ibadan North, a mandate for progress, and a reaffirmation of the strength of unity,” De-Bomba said.
He urged Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Don to remain humble, accessible, and people-oriented in the discharge of his duties at the Green Chamber, assuring him of his unwavering support and that of the Ibadan North PDP family.
“This triumph signals a new dawn for Ibadan North and a renewed hope for the entire people of Oyo State.
I am confident that Hon. Don will serve with integrity, humility, and renewed zeal,” Hon. De-Bomba concluded.
