In a clear demonstration of grassroots leadership and commitment to community development, Hon. Abeeb Alayande, the Councilor representing Ward 10 in Ibadan North Local Government, has successfully renovated a critical borehole serving residents of the area, while also providing a solar-powered system to ensure uninterrupted access to water.
The project, which was commissioned amidst the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign rally ahead of the August 16 Bye-election for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, brought smiles to the faces of residents who had long endured water scarcity.

The commissioning was led by the PDP candidate in the bye-election, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON), alongside the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade; Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami; and several party stalwarts, leaders, and faithful.
Hon. Abeeb Alayande, widely known for his civic responsibility and people-centered leadership, said the borehole renovation was borne out of his belief that “water is life.”
He noted that the borehole would now provide clean water for drinking and domestic use for hundreds of residents in the area.
In addition to infrastructure, Hon. Alayande has been running consistent financial empowerment programs for the people of Ward 10 for over a year, further cementing his reputation as a representative who prioritizes the needs of his constituents.
Residents of Ward 10 expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Alayande for what they described as “quality and impactful representation.”
According to them, the Councilor has been consistent in bringing the dividends of democracy to the grassroots, noting that his achievements have touched lives across age groups.

While addressing the crowd, Hon. Alayande thanked the residents for their unwavering support and assured them of his continued dedication to development-driven representation. “This is just the beginning,” he said. “My promise is to continue to work for the betterment of our people. Ward 10 deserves the best.”
The event served not only as a project commissioning but also as a testament to the PDP’s grassroots commitment, coming at a strategic time as the party rallies support for its candidate in the federal constituency bye-election.
With projects like this, PDP leaders reiterated their commitment to responsible governance and community-focused initiatives that improve the lives of everyday citizens.
