The Vice Chairman of Egbeda Local Government and Political Head/Administrator of Ajorosun LCDA, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple, has extended warm and heartfelt congratulations to Governor Seyi Makinde and his wife, Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, on their installation as the Aare Omoluabi and Yeye Aare Omoluabi of Akure Kingdom, respectively.
The revered titles were conferred by His Royal Majesty, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, the Deji of Akure, during a grand ceremony held at the Deji’s Palace on Friday, July 18, 2025.
The occasion drew dignitaries, traditional rulers, and admirers from across the Southwest, marking a historic celebration of honour, values, and impactful leadership.
In a personally signed statement, Hon. Oladebo described the conferment as “a deeply significant and deserving recognition of Governor Makinde’s character, integrity, and unwavering service to humanity.”
“This honour is not just a cultural milestone but a tribute to a man whose leadership has consistently exemplified the highest ideals of an Omoluabi—honourable, compassionate, visionary, and morally upright,” Hon. Oladebo stated.
He commended the Governor’s leadership style, which he described as people-driven, strategic, and rooted in justice and fairness.
According to him, Governor Makinde’s governance continues to set a sterling standard not only in Oyo State but across Nigeria.
“Governor Makinde is a shining light in our generation, a leader who walks with the people, listens with humility, and governs with purpose.
His emergence as Aare Omoluabi reflects the love and admiration he has earned far beyond the borders of our dear state,” he added.
Hon. Oladebo also extended his heartfelt felicitation to Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on her conferment as Yeye Aare Omoluabi, applauding her tireless work in uplifting women, families, and vulnerable groups across Oyo State.
“Our First Lady is the embodiment of grace, intelligence, and compassion.
Her dedication to the well-being of women and children, and her quiet but impactful influence on family values, make her truly deserving of this noble title,” he said.
He noted that the joint honour bestowed upon the First Couple is not only symbolic but speaks volumes about the strength of their shared values and commitment to public service.
“Their partnership represents hope, unity, and purpose. I believe this installation will further strengthen their resolve to build a better Oyo State and to continue serving with distinction,” Oladebo concluded.
The installation of Governor and Mrs. Makinde as Aare and Yeye Aare Omoluabi of Akure Kingdom stands as a resounding endorsement of their inspiring leadership and noble contributions to society.
