As the August 16 Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election draws near, Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi, a respected Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholder and former Councilor representing Ward 12 in Ibadan North Local Government, on Thursday, attended his ward’s political meeting where he reaffirmed his dedication to party unity and grassroots mobilization.
Addressing ward members and loyal PDP supporters, Hon. Oyeniyi, who was also an aspirant in the recently concluded consensus arrangement that produced Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON as the party’s candidate, expressed sincere appreciation to his political base for their continued loyalty and support.
“I remain proud to be from Ward 12, a ward known for strength, loyalty, and commitment to the PDP.
Your support during the consensus process was encouraging, and I believe we are stronger together,” Hon. Oyeniyi stated.
He emphasized the need for total support for the PDP’s consensus candidate, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON, urging all party members and residents of Ward 12 to work collectively towards ensuring victory at the polls.
“This is a time for us to show our strength as a united ward.
Let us come out in our numbers on August 16 to vote massively for our own, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON.
His victory is a victory for all of us,” he added.
Hon. Matthew Oyeniyi also called for intensified grassroots mobilization across all units in the ward, stressing that every vote counts in securing a resounding victory for the PDP.
The meeting reaffirmed the readiness of Ward 12 to contribute significantly to the success of the party in the forthcoming bye-election, with Hon. Oyeniyi playing a leading role in rallying support and galvanizing the base for electoral victory.
