In a heartfelt message laced with pride and party loyalty, Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi, a former Councillor representing Ward 12 in Ibadan North Local Government and one of the aspirants who graciously stepped down for the consensus candidate in the recently concluded PDP selection process, has congratulated the latest appointees from Ibadan North into key positions in Oyo State.
Hon. Oyeniyi described the appointments as a reflection of excellence, tested capacity, and unwavering loyalty to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the development agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde.
The newly appointed sons of Ibadan North are:
- Hon. Adeniyi Adeyinka Kazim Bibire – Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor
- Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami – Chairman, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC)
- Hon. Kabiru Salami – Executive Assistant on Security Coordination
- Hon. Waheed Adeniyi – Chairman, Oyo State Waste Management Authority
In his message, Hon. Oyeniyi praised the appointees for their years of commitment to service and consistent contributions to the party’s growth.
“These appointments are not accidental—they are earned.
They speak to years of perseverance, competence, and loyalty to the ideals of Governor Makinde’s transformational leadership.
I celebrate you all,” he said.
He went further to shower encomiums on His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, describing him as “a leader with vision, compassion, and fairness whose leadership model is people-centered and purpose-driven.”
“What Governor Makinde is building in Oyo State is not just governance—it is a legacy.
His ability to discover and deploy capable hands from the grassroots shows his uncommon wisdom and commitment to inclusive governance,” Oyeniyi stated.
He also urged the new appointees to approach their roles with humility, responsibility, and the burning desire to justify the Governor’s confidence and deliver results that will uplift Oyo State.
“You have been entrusted with the hopes of many. Serve with honour, innovate with courage, and lead with the people at heart.
We are proud of you and believe in your ability to make us even prouder,” he concluded.
