In a bold move to amplify academic brilliance among students in public secondary schools, a new initiative tagged Street Quiz is set to take over the streets and social media platforms of Oyo State.
Conceived by The Learning Center and proudly supported by the Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Akinsete Olakunle, the Street Quiz is a knowledge-sharing platform targeted at showcasing the outcomes of Governor Makinde’s landmark investment in the education sector.
The project is designed to spotlight students’ academic strength through real-time, unscripted quizzes conducted after school hours.
Students from both junior and senior secondary levels will be quizzed based on their academic arms, science, art, social sciences, or commercial, and those who correctly answer all the questions will win exciting monetary prizes.
Hon. Akinsete Olakunle demonstrating his commitment to youth development and academic excellence, is sponsoring cash rewards for 100 winners from secondary schools across his constituency(Ibadan southwest).

This gesture not only reflects his belief in the potential of the youth but also aligns with the governor’s policy thrust on education.
Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Akinsete stated: “Governor Makinde’s vision for an educated Oyo State is clearly yielding results.
With this project, we aim to motivate our students to strive for academic excellence while projecting their brilliance to the world through digital platforms.”
The pilot phase of the project will kick off in Ibadan South West Constituency, where select schools will host the first round of the quizzes.
The entire process will be documented and disseminated across various social media channels to inspire learning and reward intelligence.
The Street Quiz is expected to become a recurring academic engagement that encourages brilliance, boosts confidence, and underscores the ongoing transformation in Oyo State’s education sector under Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership.
