In a bold move to promote financial independence and skill acquisition, the Councillor representing Ward 6 in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Faira in partnership with an NGO (Changed Life Mission)has successfully empowered 50 residents through a four-month intensive training in fashion designing.

The initiative, in partnership with a non-governmental organization, Changed Life Mission, focused on equipping beneficiaries majorly women, including widows, and a few men with practical skills to enhance their livelihoods.

The training, which took place at the Adamasingba Stadium, concluded recently with participants receiving certificates of completion.

Speaking at the certification ceremony, Hon. Faira expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of the program, emphasizing his commitment to economic empowerment in the ward.

“Our goal was to help residents, especially vulnerable women, acquire a sustainable skill that can make them financially self-reliant,” he stated.

The councilor appealed to philanthropists and political leaders across Oyo State to support the newly trained fashion designers with essential tools such as sewing machines and other materials to enable them to start their businesses.

He assured residents of Ward 6 of his continued efforts to attract meaningful empowerment initiatives, stating, “This is just the beginning.

More empowerment programs are underway as we continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people.”

Hon. Ibrahim Faira congratulated the trainees and urged them to make good use of the knowledge and skills they have acquired, pledging to sustain such impactful interventions throughout his tenure.
