Hope Horizon Foundation, a wing of the Excellent Ladies Club, marked International Women’s Day 2025 with a special event at Olosunde Community Primary School, Awotunde Estate, Olorunsogo, Akanran Road, Ibadan, on March 10, 2025.
The annual program was designed to celebrate young girls and women in Oyo State, Nigeria, and across the world, highlighting their importance in society.
A major highlight of the event was the donation of free school uniforms to pupils of Olosunde Community Primary School (Schools 1 to 4), with each school receiving 100 uniforms.
The event was graced by Otun Kabiyesi Awotunde, who commended the Hope Horizon Foundation for bringing such a laudable initiative to the grassroots.
He described the program as unique and praised Engr. Aderemi Oseni, the Federal House of Representatives member for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, for sponsoring the initiative.
According to Otun Kabiyesi Awotunde, Engr. Oseni is a well-known philanthropist dedicated to women’s empowerment and community development.
He expressed personal gratitude, noting that he had benefited from Engr. Oseni’s generosity through one of the associations he belongs to.
The Chairman of the Association of Registered Social Youth Clubs of Oyo State (ARSOYOC), Comrade Nurudeen Farayola, urged pupils to take their education seriously to become future leaders.
He advised them to be focused, respectful to parents and teachers, and discouraged child labor, urging parents to prioritize their children’s education.
A representative of the Executive Secretary of the Oyo State Youth Development Agency, Mrs. Muraina, also commended the organizers, describing the event as inspiring and beneficial to young children.
Additionally, a representative from SUBEB, Ona Ara Local Government was present to show support.
Hope Horizon Foundation expressed profound gratitude to Engr. Remi Oseni for his unwavering support, describing him as a pillar of strength to the association.
They also extended their appreciation to Mr. Samuel Olalere, Alhaji Mufu Iba, and other notable individuals for their continued support.
