The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has paid a courtesy visit to the 36th Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Oyo State Command, Comptroller J.O. Dada.

The visit, which took place at the command headquarters, was aimed at officially welcoming the new comptroller to Oyo State.

Hon. Olufade, alongside top officials of Ibadan North Local Government, was warmly received by Comptroller Dada and other senior immigration officers.

In his remarks, Hon. Olufade expressed his delight at being back in the conference room of the NIS Oyo State Command, recalling his close working relationship with the former Comptroller, A.D. Jimoh.

He admitted he had initial concerns about Jimoh’s transfer, as he was uncertain about who would take over the command.

However, he stated that meeting Comptroller Dada reassured him, describing the new comptroller as a father figure.

The chairman further appreciated Comptroller Dada for attending his wedding despite the short notice and his tight schedule.

He noted that the comptroller did not just grace the occasion but also spent quality time at the event.

Hon. Olufade then emphasized the need for continued cooperation between Ibadan North Local Government and the Nigeria Immigration Service, stressing the importance of maintaining a harmonious relationship for mutual benefit.

In his response, Comptroller J.O. Dada expressed his gratitude for the visit, describing Hon. Olufade as a humble and respectful leader.

He recalled his first encounter with the chairman, stating that he was immediately struck by his humility.

Comptroller Dada shared a personal connection with Oyo State, revealing that his first posting in 1993 was in the state, making him familiar with its terrain.

He acknowledged the remarkable development in Ibadan North Local Government, commending the chairman for the improved environment and serene atmosphere.

Recognizing the local government as an essential stakeholder, he likened Hon. Olufade to a “landlord” and emphasized the importance of maintaining good relations with neighbors.

He assured the chairman of his commitment to strengthening collaboration with Ibadan North Local Government and pledged to reciprocate the visit soon.

To mark the visit, Hon. Olufade signed the courtesy visit book, officially documenting the meeting.
