As the holy month of Ramadan commences, Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi, a House of Representatives hopeful for Ibadan North Federal Constituency and a former Councilor representing Ward 12 in Ibadan North Local Government, has called on the Muslim faithful to embrace the spiritual essence of the sacred period.
In a heartfelt message, Hon. Matthew Alani Oyeniyi prayed for divine blessings, forgiveness, and guidance, urging Muslims to observe the fast with sincerity, engage in prayer with devotion, and give generously to those in need.
His message reads:
Allahumma barik lana fi shahri Ramadan
(O Allah, bless us in the month of Ramadan)
Ya Allah, as we welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, we come to You with humility and gratitude. We seek Your forgiveness, Your mercy, and Your guidance.
Help us to fast with sincerity, to pray with devotion, and to give with generosity. Purify our hearts, our minds, and our souls.
Grant us the strength to abstain from worldly desires, and to focus on our spiritual growth. Help us to become better versions of ourselves, and to become closer to You.
Ya Allah, we pray for Your peace, Your blessings, and Your protection. We pray for our families, our friends, and our communities.
May this Ramadan be a month of spiritual renewal, of forgiveness, and of mercy.
May we emerge from this blessed month with hearts full of love, compassion, and kindness.
