As the holy month of Ramadan begins, Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, a PDP chieftain and Ibadan North Federal House of Representatives hopeful, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful in Ibadan North, Oyo State, and across Nigeria.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami described Ramadan as a sacred period of spiritual renewal, self-discipline, and devotion, urging Muslims to use the season to seek Allah’s mercy, guidance, and blessings.
“Ramadan is a time of reflection, sacrifice, and increased faith.
It reminds us of the importance of prayer, kindness, and service to humanity.
As we embark on this spiritual journey, let us strengthen our commitment to love, peace, and unity,” he said.
Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami encouraged Muslims to uphold the values of patience, forgiveness, and generosity, emphasizing that the teachings of Ramadan align with the principles of good governance, justice, and societal progress.
“As we fast and engage in acts of worship, let us also remember the less privileged among us.
May Allah accept our supplications, grant us the strength to complete the fast successfully, and bless our land with peace and prosperity,” he prayed.
Hon. Taiwo Salami concluded by wishing all Muslims a blessed and rewarding Ramadan, praying that the holy month brings divine favor, answered prayers, and abundant joy.
