Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin, federal house of Representatives member representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has once again empowered youths in his constituency through an ICT training initiative.

The event, held at the Local Government house, Secretariat Ibadan, provided over 50 participants with intensive ICT training, brand-new HP laptops, and financial grants to support their newly acquired skills.

In his address, Hon. Agboworin reaffirmed his dedication to human capital development, stating that since assuming office in 2019, he has prioritized impactful initiatives over mere financial handouts.

“My focus has always been on job creation and sustainable development rather than just distributing money,” he emphasized.

The ICT training, led by Dr. Chukwuemeka, equipped participants with essential digital skills to thrive in today’s technology-driven economy.

“Beyond providing laptops and financial aid, we are giving them the tools to secure a better future for themselves and their communities,” Dr. Chukwuemeka noted.

Alhaja Salawu Folake of the National Productivity Centre urged the beneficiaries to apply their skills towards economic growth, emphasizing the program’s broader impact.

This initiative, executed in collaboration with the National Productivity Centre and Mac-Chris Computers Ltd, aligns with Hon. Agboworin’s commitment to job creation, education, and human capital development in Oyo State.

Dignitaries present at the presentation of gadgets and certificates were Hon Dare Adeleke, Chief Ademola Oko Ijaya; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy, Engr Akeem Olatunji; Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Prince Falana Adebayo Adebowale; Chairman of Agency for Youth Development, Alhaji Bolaji Hassan; COS Ibadan SouthWest, Hon Michael Ogunsina; PDP Youth Leader/Acting Publicity Secretary, Achiever Stalwart Barr Okeowo, Engr Femi Afolabi, Hon Mariam Taofeek among others.
