The ancient city of Ibadan was agog with excitement as Engr. Olatunji was formally installed as the Asiwaju Oluyole. The ceremony, which took place amidst pomp and pageantry, was attended by a galaxy of dignitaries from all walks of life.
The GSM Advocates, a group of stakeholders dedicated to promoting the good governance of Governor Seyi Makinde, has extended its warmest congratulations to their Director General, Engr. Akeem Olatunji on his installation as Asiwaju Oluyole.
In a statement made available to press men, coordinating director of GSM Advocates, Bashorun Saintabey describe the Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engr. Olatunji as Asiwaju who has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the welfare and progress of his people. His achievements within the days in office have been commendable, with numerous projects and initiatives undertaken to uplift the community and with unanimous decision of traditional rulers which consists of Obas and Baales, it is evident that the council boss deserves the title.
The GSM Advocates has been impressed by Engr. Olatunji’s iconic leadership style, which embodies unblemished character and a passion for service. His dedication to efficient service delivery and human capacity development has not gone unnoticed.
Members of GSM Advocates who witnessed the installation ceremony attest to the popularity of Asiwaju Oluyole as the event witnessed the presence of three deputy governor; HE Hazeem Gbolarumi, Amb. Taofeek Arapaja and current deputy governor to Governor Seyi Makinde, Barrister Bayo Lawal.

His Royal Majesty, Oba Hamidu Ajibade, the Ekerin Olubadan of Ibadan, who led other Obas to the event and described Olatunji as a pride of Ibadanland who has continued to enjoy immense goodwill and robust relationship with the traditional institution.
Amb Adeyemi Ademoy also noted that “The installation of Olatunji as Asiwaju Oluyole was marked by a historic show of unity, as prominent leaders from Ibadanland’s major religious and cultural groups, including Sheikh AbdulGaniy Agbotomokere, Apostle Joshua Akinyemiju, and the Araba of Ibadanland, came together to lend their support and blessings to the occasion.”
Engr. Olatunji’s installation as Asiwaju Oluyole is a well-deserved recognition of his tireless efforts to promote the growth and development of Oluyole Local Government.
